Why we use Neodymium Magnets in our MagThro Eddy Current Separators
10/07/2025
Neodymium magnets, part of the rare earth family, are known for generating incredibly strong magnetic fields. This strength makes them a critical component in eddy current separation, where magnetic force is used to efficiently repel non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, copper, and brass from mixed waste streams.

At BlakerTech, we use neodymium magnets in our MagThro eddy current separators because their powerful and consistent magnetic field supports fast throughput, high recovery accuracy, and reliable performance, even in challenging recycling environments.
Outside of recycling, neodymium magnets are widely used in electric vehicles, wind turbines, robotics, and electronics, which adds to global demand and reinforces the need for efficient use of materials.
As demand rises, the principles of sustainable recovery and resource efficiency remain central to our product development. We continue to invest in engineering solutions that support more effective metal separation and improved recovery rates across the industry.
