Engineered for Industrial Reliability
The MagDrum is built to withstand continuous operation in harsh recycling and processing environments.
Its abrasion-resistant construction and permanent magnetic design provide dependable ferrous recovery year after year, while reducing downtime, maintenance requirements, and total cost of ownership.
Every unit is manufactured to exacting standards, combining robust engineering with decades of magnetic separation expertise.
Applications Across Recycling and Bulk Processing
MagDrum separators are widely used to recover ferrous metals from:
- Shredded automotive scrap
- WEEE and electronic waste
- Post-shredder residue (PSR)
- Mixed waste and contaminated recycling streams
- Bottom ash in waste-to-energy plants
- Aggregates, minerals, coal, and glass processing
Wherever ferrous contamination threatens product quality or equipment life, the MagDrum provides a proven and efficient solution.

-
What is a drum magnet?
-
A drum magnet is a rotating separator that attracts and removes ferrous metals such as iron and steel from mixed material streams.
Magnetic particles adhere to the drum surface and are discharged separately from non-magnetic material.
-
Can the MagDrum separate aluminium or copper?
-
No. Drum magnets only separate ferrous metals. For non-ferrous metals such as aluminium or copper, an eddy current separator is required.
Drum magnets and eddy current systems are often installed in sequence for maximum recovery.
